Consultation has concluded
The City of Boulder is participating in the “Democracy Innovations for Better Public Meetings” project, which is working to make official public meetings more civil, deliberative, and productive. The project has been developed by the Center for Democracy Innovation at the National Civic League, and supported by the AAA-ICDR Foundation. The Center is helping communities implement better engagement practices for public meetings and hearings, measure the progress of their efforts, and scale the emerging tools, practices, and lessons through a national network of local leaders.
The City of Boulder and the Center for Democracy Innovation are eager to hear community feedback on several proposed recommendations to improve our public meetings. Reflections shared by community members will be summarized and included in the 'Public Meetings & Community Priorities - Engagement Session' on Feb. 21.
Community members will have the opportunity to provide more input on several topics that emerged through the Community Survey results, specifically, safety, affordability, transportation and engagement.
