Iris Avenue Transportation Improvements Project
Project Overview
The Iris Avenue Transportation Improvements Project will identify and implement ways to make Iris Avenue between Broadway and 28th Street safer, more connected and more comfortable.
Timeline
Project staff have completed a formal evaluation of the alternatives through the Community and Environmental Assessment Process (CEAP) and identified a recommended alternative.
- July 28-Sept. 9: Questionnaire 1
- Oct. 24: Open House 1
- Oct. 24-Nov. 8: Virtual Open House 1 and Questionnaire 2
- April 27: Open House 2
- April 27-May 27: Virtual Open House 2 and Questionnaire 3
- July 23: Open House 3
- July 19-Aug. 15: Virtual Open House 3 and Questionnaire 4
- Fall 2024:
- The final CEAP and recommended alternative will be brought to the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB).
- TAB will make a recommendation to City Council on the CEAP and recommended alternative.
- City Council will receive the CEAP and TAB's recommendation and be asked to take action.
- If City Council approves the recommended alternative, final design and implementation will follow as funding is secured. Construction will begin once design is finalized, funding is secured, and contractor and materials procurement is complete.
