[Story collected at Neighborhood Office Hours in Glenwood Grove - North Iris.]
"I
grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. Walking was always a way for me to get out of the
house and find my own space, especially as a teen. I’m not a super athletic
person, but walking has always been my main exercise and something I’ve enjoyed
all my life. It’s got a contemplative aspect to it – you can think things through
or just be. I live in Northwest Boulder near North Boulder Park. That’s my backyard.
I walk by myself or with friends every day. If I want to walk downtown, I just
take 4th Street. It would be great if there were more of a path
along 4th – the sidewalk doesn’t continue all the way."
